So was it expected? Yes and no. I wish people wouldn't have asked that. I don't think it matters to any of us whether it was or not.

((( Britt )))), I know how hard it is to lose a parent. My mom died when I was 2. Miss Ingram died a few years ago and I mourned her, yet felt that she was in a good place and we would see each other again when I'd be well.

I have found Christmas better since therapy. I do however feel very tired and queasy. I don't know if I have a bug or if it is just stress but I don't feel to good.

Most of my cooking is done, just the turkey and potatoes to do tomorrow so I can ease up a bit.

Trying to rest now. H is on a late shift and won't be back for a while.

This is the first christmas I've been able to see pictures of my children growing up. I wish I could share them with all of you. I'd never seen them before this year, so this is the best year I've had since 1965. Thank you all for being so kind to me since i've got here online at this site.

I'm feeling very sad.

I've enjoyed watching the kids play today and get so excited before Christmas but it's our our last Christmas together. It's also my eldest's birthday. My wife is totally unrelenting in the "I've had enough and there's nothing left" response to any of my requests.

I can't understand the total hardness of this. I have no idea how to break through.

Big hugs to all here. I'm sorry there is so much sorrow. For the first time in my life I am feeling simply happy on Christmas eve. Not stressed, not dissociated, not having flashbacks. I'm happy that I'm alive. I wish everyone could somehow feel some of that today. Lovingkindness to all.

Apologies to anyone who likes Christmas, but I'm feeling frustrated and a bit freaked out by the two day national shutdown, and the two week go-slow, because the whole thing is of no interest to me. Kind of feel like I'm the only one awake while everyone else goes into some sort of tinselly other consciousness.

In my list of what makes me feel like I have nothing in common with many other people, Christmas is right up there.

I just want it to be over.

I believe in Jesus and am happy that others can enjoy the Christmas holiday and have time to be with their loved ones, but for me, the way that everything is closed on Christmas Day makes me feel even more isolated. I can't wait until things go back to normal too! :)
