The world is white with snow this morning. Makes me feel the quiet of it seep into my soul. Right now that is a good thing. I need my soul to be quieted.

I have a headache and still feel sick from watching Louis Theroux documentary follow up on the Phelps Family of Westboro Baptist church. Those people are seriously horrible vermin who need to be eradicated, like Ebola.

I feel grateful that Jeeps up the 2 1/2 hour discussion about Overcoming PTSD and Dr. Paul Hegstrom. I'm about 40 hours in... and already know I need to listen to it again so I bookmarked it.

Thank you for all your prayers for my husband. He has been admitted to the hospital and is waiting to have some fluid drained from his surgery site. It could be infected. My husband is still waiting for them to start this and is completely exhausted. I'm trying no to worry about him, but it's not so easy.

If you can spare one more prayer that he gets to leave the hospital soon, I would be very grateful.

There should be protection for women.

There should be this everywhere. Even in the America's if a woman is abused or raped it is often put back on her, as if she asked for it. It is a horrible way to think. I might have had my father's belief that men are suppose to be the one's in control if I didn't see the way he or other men treat women.

Not that men can not be raped or abused. They can. I don't believe that should happen either. I believe that all sexes should be treated with respect. It grieves me desperately to think of the society we all live in.

Jaret, the fact that you feel this is a horror to what happened to this girl, shows that you have nothing to hold shame for. You can not be responsible for another person's behavior, even if it is your own sex. You are, obviously, nothing like these horrific men.

Britt, I was thinking on some comments posted on FB. Some girls were telling even if she(victim) survived, her life would be like hell. She might not go back to normal. :eek:

Our country's girl who was suffering gang rape, died today.

Jaret, I've also felt angered and saddened by what happened. I hope that the anger being felt will lead to strong, positive changes. I'm thinking of you and I wish healing for your country.

(((HUGS))) and thank you. I've been sat at the computer for the past hour, just thinking of logging in. Yours was the first post I read. I don't feel I deserve it but it has helped more than you know.

I think I'm feeling better although my 'bounce' is still someway off. I haven't been able to journal, I'm up to Christmas Day and just to recall that day isn't good although it ended well with harmony restored.

Coming here, even if I can't participate much at the moment certainly helps.

No she wouldn't have gone back to normal, and, unfortunately, society would have treated her differently too. Including the women(in which case I would feel ashamed at my gender). Hopefully she is now in peace.

Thank you. It does help to hear (or read) that, while my parents place unrealistic goals and expectations on me, I am NOT inadequate. I do a lot, at least it feels like I do.

Jaret, I was so sorry to read about that girl, but hopefully she is at peace.

I did talk to a medical assistant, and I have a test on Wed where they inject dye into your spinal cord to see where the nerves are not working correctly. It is a very painful test, but I hope it will show something that can be corrected.

Traumagirl- I have been praying for your husband and you. I usually extend my prayers to the forum, since you are all my friends. Hugs to all.
