All the cognitive distortions of hopelessness and futility keep flooding in so strongly I can get on top of them.
Think of it this way: You're helping your child, and to you, you're the help you needed then, now. The fact memories reach to you that deeply proving you're capable of solving this: for your child, and for emotionally younger you's. Your mind trusts you to have whatever it takes to resolve this successfully, and is damned right.
