I’m making 2 hand raised meat pies for a family thing this weekend -everyone adult, by age at least- and I’ve got a question, now that I’ve telegraphed that punch. Cough.

Am I a teeeeerrible person for considering using the Mudflap Girl on the Apricot Chicken pie to differentiate the white meat side from the dark meat??? Instead of, you know, leaves or flowers or bees or whatever. Breasts on one side, thighs on the other. It MAKES SENSE. Not exactly the claaaaassiest thing, but at least I’ll know where to cut

Pie pics coming a bit later tonight or tomorrow... I have the boring pie baking right now, sadly I only have 1 springform pan (baking isn’t really my thing)... BUT I ran across this recipe whilst checking flour ratios... and DROOL.

I WISH I COULD STILL EAT BRIE!!!

& The “What wil happen if I... Oh. A mess. Shrug.” is Pork & Apple

- Chicken from here ... except I did half breasts & half thighs. & for the jelly I added apricot jam & a splash of soy sauce to the chicken gelatin.
- Pork I just sort of winged it

Nah... I just drew her on paper & cut her out to make a stencil
Well, you did a fantastic job, then. She looks amazing.

I thought maybe it was a truck stop item, but then it would have to be an item for the mothers of truckers (trucker mothers), right? I don't know where they shop.
