What Did You Do For You Today???

Today I stayed in bed (a real bed, not the couch) because of the pain. I let myself be taken care of. I am learning to take care of myself. It's a step forward!

I napped on the couch and participated in the PTSD Forum

Confronted my husband about a delinquent bill I found yesterday. Asserted myself.

I bought myself a bunch of daffodils. The first bunch of the year.

By a stroke of good luck I ended up buying two blown glass wall sconces... or rather a vase that will hold a bunch of flowers. So my plan is to induldge in hanging it somewhere that cat's can't get to and buying myself a bunch of flowers once a week. The other I will give to my mother as a thank you gift for going with me tonight... she already "gives" herself a bunch of flowers every week, they are delivered and it makes her feel special. Maybe it will make me feel special too. I got two for 30 bucks.

A wise woman your Mom. I can't afford delivery but I do buy myself flowers. OK, not weekly but I do love them when I do. The daffodils I bought yesterday are beginning to slowly open up.

I took a few moments to calm myself and read from a book on peace therapy which set the tone for the day.

I slept and slept! I cuddled in bed and stayed warm. Tomorrow I get back up and do normal things like fixing a vegetable soup and laundry.

I took pain meds and went for a nice nap.

Picked up the forms for an immunology/allergist consult. Went to my ENT and got my ears vaccumed and inspected. Treated myself to miso soup, seaweed salad and sushi for being such a good proactive "Do Bee" --- hot bath and a movie. I'm taking care of me.

I persuaded (very nicely) my H to de-ice the car for me :inlove:

As I always try to do first to come here, reminding myself I am NOT alone.

I post photos that not only catch my eye but that make me smile but touch my heart, I take time out for me.

I touched base this morning with those that are so kind to support me when I am hardly able to keep my feet on the ground. I do that for me, it's taking care of what's important to me, those that are important to me. It's not always easy especially when the pain is so intense my mind is clouded.
