I think you hit the nail on the head there -- identical, but not PTSD based on definition or causation. You can replicate PTSD symptoms from chemical abuse / toxicity. Diagnoses exist for drug outcomes, but I'm not sure anything exists for chemical exposure itself.

That could be quite a hole in medical diagnosis and treatment.

This isn't a direct ptsd related thing I learned, but it sure helps me manage mine better by keeping me healthily occupied and bringing a healthy habit to the lives of others who wish to partake.

I learned I can buy kid sized hula hoops, also used for arm hooping for adults, in bulk for about the same cost of materials/time it takes to make them. Hot damn. Sold! Enabling me to finally spread more joy, as I'd been putting off making any since I knew it was going to hurt so bad.

That size, especially, hurts my hands/forearms to make due to the tubing being smaller and requiring a lot more force to connect the ends over the couplings, but I can make the adult-sized ones with much more ease. I just increased my production rate and lessened my pain state. Win/win! Whoop! Whoop!
