Since reading about the kindness Nicolette showed to the little ole lady with the disabled auto, I decided we all need to be more aware and helpful. So, therefore---what good deed have you done lately. I'll start

A couple of days ago I went holdiay food shopping a while walking to my car with a cart full of groceries I saw a wallet on the ground between 2 parked cars in the parking lot. So, I picked it up, put my groceries in the car and walked back into the store and turned the wallet into the store manager.

So, that is my "good deed of the day" What about you?????

My husband and I (mainly him) drive for our community car scheme. We have 3 regulars whom we take to and from the hairdressers.
I'm spending a fortune on bird food and feeding the birds morning and night - they need it in the snow - does that count?

My good deed for the day was the other day does that count?
Coming home from my monthly visit to the Shrink 5hr return trip, we passed a car broken down. Went back to see if we could help (I hate stopping now as one of my things is not trusting anyone). Anyway turned out this young guy had just had his Lexus in a performance shop getting souped up & a radiator hose hadn't been fitted correctly & had failed. I likely had 2 spare clamps in my ute he was rapped reckoned he was going to buy me a carton I let him of the hook & just said pay it on to someone else trouble.
I learnt 2 things from this:
1 He kept going on about this machinic who worked on his car as a "owner operator" I'm thinking ok he owns his own shop right, wrong came out later that he was trying to be politically correct in front of my wife & was really calling him a W..k.r  ( us oldies have really gotta keep up feel so old now at 42:D).
2 My wife tells me when we got back on the road that she's proud of me over coming my fears & still helping people. Made my day also,

OH I have been really good lately as santa is checking whos naughty or nice :D
I helped a broken down bike the other day his chain had come off and locked up the rear wheel, I fixed it with help from my Sufferer ( was her that told me to stop as he looked broken down) he offered me money but I told him to put it towards a new chain instead :)

Since all the snow I have been towing stuck cars on an almost daily basis.. inc one guy who was trying to get back to his 8 months pregnant wife :D

See santa I have been good... can I have the one thing I really want in the world now ;)

Ok, it was a week or so back.... but I helped an elderly couple on and off the train that I was travelling on. Helped them with their luggage and hoisted them both up the steep steps onto the train. On leaving the train I helped them off and carried their luggage to the taxi rank. I then got completely lost, because the taxi rank was the wrong exit for me LOL!

I didn't kill someone in my building when they pushed me over my limit last night and I was even nice to them this morning. Does mercy count as a good deed?

Oh well other than that I'm house sitting so my friend can go running off with her hubby down to the cities. They have some family they want to go see.

Despite what I said elsewhere house sitting don't bug me. It was just everything hitting me all at once.

This thread inspired me to do a good deed today.

I was at the chiropractor's today, and since he just moved (after a nasty breakup), all his holiday decorations were packed up and at a friend's house. He had nothing up in the office and seemed like he didn't have the heart to bother. I went to the store and bought some lights and a few simple decorations and put them on the potted tree in his office. Cheered him up.

I also took cookies to the guys at my husband's work.

Very Inspiring! We all need to do these types of things throughout the year. Had to go out yesterday for the dinner things I forgot. There was a lady in line in front of me with a huge cart of groceries and a new baby in a chest sling making unloading the groceries onto the checkout counter very difficult. After asking if I could help, I unloaded her cart for her.

Keeping in mind I am afraid of people, have agoraphobia and can't look people in the eye, helping this woman gave me a feeling I haven't felt in a very lonng time. Helping others feels good. Stepping out of my comfort zone didn't seem so hard when I was actually doing something that helped another person.
