What Happens When Social Drinking Turns to Complete Insanity?

Good for you Sarge. I recently went through detox at a VA hospital and am going to some aftercare groups with the VA now. It has been very helpful for me. Hope it is for you, too. Make the most of it, you can't recover from PTSD if you're numbing yourself with alcohol. By the way, I go to a PTSD support group for Vietnam Vets, and of the fifteen or so guys that come regularly, at least three quarters of them have a handgun in their cars in the parking lot while they're in the group. I've survived for forty years without a gun. It's really not as dangerous as it seems out there.

Hi SGt Bilko

You can do this stay off the sauce. If you need to go into detox it will be of enourmous help. My husband had to do that a year ago next week, best thing he ever did. He still has a long way to go but can do it without being under the influence.

All the pain in his mind is still there but at least he only has to deal with that and not the problems of he booze aswell.

Keep going you can do it and as for the guns have you got a sledge hammer. Nogood to anyone when they are flat.

Good luck
