What is/was your favorite toy now or as a child?

I was given a blue & white teddy bear when I was born. I named him BearBear (very original) and he was my pillow for years when I was a kid. I could not sleep without my BearBear. I found him packed away with a bunch of albums recently.

Now, my favorite ''toy'' is volcanic rock. Any rock, any location, any eruption. If I can find it, I collect it.

Sticks and dirt. I would design entire cities in the dirt and make underground tunnels and stuff. I would make dolls out of fabric scraps and dollhouses out of cardboard and duck tape. My grandfather also made this tri wheeled cart thing for moving stuff that he welded together out of scrap metal. Used it as a scooter that could spin 360 degrees and I came up with all kinds of tricks and stuff to do on it.

I had a Tonka truck, and we built a whole little town out of bricks and made a lake in the middle of it. We had plastic boats, Barbie Dolls and they road around town in our trucks or across the lake in the boats. We would take Barbie and "visit" a neighbor across the lake or around it by truck.

Yes! Bubbles! I still have some in my kitchen drawer these days, waiting for a gentle wind and my right mood.

Matchbox cards were fun too!

And one year I got a red tractor and it was fun to play with too. I got it for Christmas. I'd specifically asked for it too.

I had a Monopoly game not that long ago. I don't know WHAT happened to it. I have looked everywhere for it. I remember the BEST EVER game of Monopoly that I played. I got Baltic and Mediterainian and no one else got ANY monopolies. It took awhile, but I got all the money and had a blast.

I remember one time I played HEARTS, a card game, and I "Shot The Sun" which basically means I took every "trick" in the whole game, all the cards I won. Hearts was boring for me after that though, as I had done something that they say only can be done once in a million games of Hearts or so. It was a great feeling and I know that when I did it, I knocked my chair over backwards, laughing and cheering so much!!!

I think I figured out what happened to my Monopoly game. My apartment was broken into a few years ago and a lot of stuff was stolen because I was away in the Mental Hospital for 5 days. I am guessing that it was stolen then, along with a lot of other things, including some of my other "toys" too! I soooo... hate this, but these things are happening all over the country, due to the drug epidemic.

My favs were Crazy foam, Mr. Bubbles, and a talking Casper, the friendly ghost doll.

there has always been something about water that I liked really well and also the colors that floated inside a bubble.

I have a pink plushy teddy bear that my husband bought off of ebay. She was rejected by her owner as too small, not the right shape. I always sleep with her. "Her name is Pinks" - very original. I also have a plushy elephant named "Winks" that I originally bought for my daughter. She "loaned him to me one night". That was 2 years ago. I never sleep without them.

I can't sleep with toys. I roll over on them and wake up with a lump under me somewhere. If I try to go to sleep with them in my hand, they end up under me anyway. I think I toss and turn in my sleep a lot. Normally, I am a very sound sleeper too, like I sleep through thunder storms often. (Folks will ask me if I heard that storm the night before and I never do, slept right through it)! None the less, I wish I could have the comfort of sleeping with a toy. It sounds like a great idea. Sigh....
