IDK about one theme song, but two Ani DiFranco lines that seem to fit me:
"They say goldfish have no memories - I guess their lives are much like mine/
and the little plastic castle is a surprise every time..."
"I look down I miss all the good stuff; I look up I keep tripping over things."

the first one can be about getting surprised repeatedly by the same pain or life lessons, but it can also be about appreciating the same good things over and over - seeing the good anew.
the second one reminds me to seek balance :)

I have two
most days its Look Away by Chicago.. not the romantic part of it but mostly 'dont look at me, I don't want you to see me this way'. it sticks with me. I moved away from family because they don't understand and think i should 'be over it' so that song.

The other is inner demons by Julia Brennan. it's one I play most nights
