I am in my mid-60s but I look younger than that. Today, because there is a snow storm on its way here, the grocery store was packed, as it always is, when a storm is on its way in. Today is my usual shopping day, so usually the store is empty, but today it wasn't. So I get to the check-out, and someone calls me over to the self-check-out isle. Well, I thought she would help me, but other than showing me how to do it, she left me to not only check out my whole cart of groceries, but bag them too! I was dizzy and exhausted by the time I was done. I have not bagged my groceries or checked them out in years. This was exhausting! The least she could have done was help me. I will NOT be doing that again. If ever someone calls me over to the self-check-out again, I will simply say, "No thank you." I will wait as long as is needed. Not a problem. I am semi-retired. No need to hurry.

My own choices and how I continue to allow them to be mindlessly steered in directions I already know aren't healthy or life enriching by any stretch of my imagination. I made the mistake of watching the evening news last night...for as long as I could stomach it.

"Welcome to the fear o'clock news, y'all!" So easy to see how scripted it is simply by changing the channel to the next network, yet folks adamantly claim their favorite one is THE right one, dammit. lol

No wonder most of society lives in an anxiety-ridden state most of the time. Yet the ones who appear to be the most well-adjusted to the sick and twisted happenings are called the "normal" ones. Yikes.
