I suppose I should have something on topic, it's not too terrible, but certainly entertaining.
It also does make me angry.
Some of you may recall that where I am currently employed, has allowed one of those angry woe-is-me Harpy types to slip into our ranks.
Well, she's been busy since I last spoke of her exploits. Fortunately, I have avoided being her target for the week.
One of the night supervisors on the other hand. Oh boy...
So I am finishing up a shift the other day, when I see the Harpy walk by. I made a brave dive into a nearby bit of cover. I don't think she saw me.
Little bit later. The supervisor comes into my dock looking annoyed. I ask him "what's up?"
He says "I sent the Harpy home". His exact words. Lmao! The nickname has stuck.
Anyways, so I of course had to ask why.
He tells me that she approached him regarding a discrepency on her paycheque. Not a strange problem with this company.
Here's where it goes downhill. This particular supervisor is one of those people who talks with his hands, nothing strange. Just flaps while he yaps.
Whist he was explaining to the Harpy as to what she needs to do to deal with this pay issue. She cuts him off mid sentence and says "Why are you flapping your arms about like that. Are you gay or something?"
Yup...
I have to give the guy kudos for how he responded.
He looks at her, then responds "Umm what? First off, it's not your business if I am. Nor does it matter. But you need to leave now."
She started to protest, but he wasn't having it.
"No. Go home. If you can come back tomorrow and speak to me without that homophobic attitude, fine. But right now, you need to leave."
It gets better.
The following day. I am done my shift, walking with same supervisor. As we pass the Harpy (who is doing a punishment detail as recompense for the homophobic garbage she was spewing the previous night.) Suddenly stops what she's doing and makes a great big show about how it's not fair that she has to do this heavy job. (Which is within the job requirements that she signed for when hired. It was very much within the supervisors rights to make her do that task.)
She says "Howcome the other women don't have to do this?" Yup. She actually had the gall to claim sexual discrimination for the job given her as punishment for her own act of sexual discrimination (I wish I was kidding.) I was standing right there, heard it with my own ears.
The sheer amount of willpower required for me not to say something was so great, that the supervisor told me later that I had the strangest twisted look on my face. It was all I could not to... I don't know... Yell?or laugh? or both?...
Yup, she's a winner. The drama, oh my God the drama. I'm too old for this crap. Lol.
