I'm not saying that you should learn to love yourself before you love another. I hate that expression, and whenever someone said it to me I would snerk that I love myself every night. Really, though, I don't think I'll ever truly love myself.

But you should try to reach a point where you can keep your shit from rolling downhill most of the time, before you try to share your life with someone else. I wish I had done that.

I takes a "different" kind of woman to love a warrior, Brother. Some of us on here are lucky as hell to have one of those gems. If your pts is getting worse because of your surroundings, then maybe it's time to come to terms. You have to take care of yourself RAKKASAN. We are a different breed being warriors in the first place, couple that with pts and we're really different. It takes a special someone to hang with us and have our six. If you don't pack the gear to love a warrior and have his six at all times, maybe its time for an upgrade. Just an old grunts .02 Brother.

You can only abandon kids & pets. Everyone else can look after their damn selves. They may not want to, but they can.

You don't have to be a dick about it, but you also don't have to keep fighting for it until one or both of you are dead.

Not quite. Malaria is a blood transmitted disease. So a transfusion, or direct contact for a period of time can transmit it. (I was told sexually transmitting it is hardly existent but conceivably possible.) So can a woman who has it transmit it to a newborn, especially if the mother has a fever at the time when the bugs are active and growing. But it's rare. The CDC won't allow you to give blood if you have had malaria before within a certain period (I forgot.). I could not give blood to a friend who had a car accident because I have had malaria, at the time it was about 4 years after I got back.

Way worse if they don't seem to give a hoot about being unable to work if they get ill, the cost on society, the worry of their families.
