What Will Be The Next Book After The Alchemist?

To be perfectly honest... thinking about this a few additional minutes... having a constant list may be the best thing, that way people can anticipate way ahead of time to choose what they want to read, and what they are skipping over!!!

We simply keep running polls to vote books through until we have a decent list ahead of time which is pre-chosen. As the club grows, so does the input and voting to continue defining future books to the point when the club has enough people, there are no longer restrictions on reading one book at a time, but instead multiple books being read and discussed across genres. End of the day, it all comes down to how many eventually participate.

I'm in no rush at the moment to change anything than what has been agreed upon, being one book at a time with only series running to the side, because history has depicted with PTSD that people say or want lots of things, then change their mind, get ill for months, something goes to shit in their lives, the list is long... suddenly if allowing multiple books to be read, then there is little participation occurring and it all falls down.

Mao's Last Dancer (an autobiography, by Li Cunxin)

Kafka on the Shore (a novel, by Haruki Murakami)

The Orphan's Tales (a 2-volume collection of nested stories in the style of the Arabian Nights, by Catherynne Valente)

I will look at creating a complete book list here tomorrow from everything that has been recommended, as I just don't have the time today with study and other commitments I have.

Dead Link Removed

This book is scheduled to be released in April (it's available for pre-order) and I can't wait to read it!!

I have locked this and moved it to the archive, as I am now compiling a complete book list from all recommended sources here and in the chit chat thread.
