Where Do You Start? When Talking About Stuff In Therapy?

Did anyone else find it hard to talk about what they feel is really bothering them?
Still do. You just have to open your mouth and say it before you have too long to change your mind. That's my approach, anyway. Doing it that way, I can speak my mind I think about 75% of the time.

I also learned that sometimes, it's easier if he asks questions, even if the question is "what happened next?". This was super-important when I was trying to just give him the narrative of what happened to me. I told him that he would need to ask me questions or I would stall out and clam up.

That's true. Maybe I could copy and paste some of what I have here and say it to him? What I find is theres this voice inside me screaming at me not to talk about it. Did anyone else find it hard to talk about what they feel is really bothering them?
Yes. All the time. My appointments right now are more, me almost talking to my therapist and him doing a lot of talking and me going home and journaling and sending him the parts that refer to our session.
Talking can be almost impossible. My therapist said that he can see m struggling to get things out though and that makes a difference.
Certainly take stuff you wrote here and give it to your therapist as a way to start communication
