Which Of My Meds Are Most Likely To Be The Cause Of My Weight Gain?

I've gained a total of six pounds since taking:

Sertraline - 150 mg
Clonozepam - 0.5 mg
Saphris - 10 mg

I'm thinking it's the Saphris, since taking it at night makes me really hungry and makes me want to eat.

Interesting. I have not ever used any of those, but I have recently started to use trazadone, and I've put on weight for the first time in years. I've had stable weight for years, and I'm actually eating a lot less now that I don't use cannabis, yet I've put on weight. Makes no sense, unless it's the trazadone.

I don't have any health problems (other than mental), and I don't use any other prescription meds, or over the counter meds. I can only speculate that my weight gain is directly related to my use of Trazadone.

I gained no weight with sertaline when I took it. The clonazepam my son is on for seizures. He's actually on a higher dose than you are even and he's only 5. He's a little thing and we've noticed no difference in his weight. He's actually underweight and considered "failure to thrive" despite the fact he eats 6-7 full meals a day plus snacks. I'd look into the Saphris more, I don't know much about that one.

Can you believe Wellbutrin was the weight gain culprit with me 35 pounds in a year. It is supposed to be one that helps you lose weight. Now my eating disorder is all out of control and morphed from Bulimia to Anorexia!

The PDR lists weight gain as a common side effect of Saphris

The opposite is listed as common for Clonazepam (loss of appetite, weight loss, diarrhea & constipation)... And every common side effect? Has a percentage of people who have the opposite reaction. So it's possible, but much more unlikely.

Diarrhea, but nothing about weight or appetite is listed under Sertraline. So it would be extremely unlikely (although still possible).
