Why Are Symptoms So Strong In The Am To Mid Afternoon?

I wake up to hell every morning and it peaks around 11:30. Then it starts to very slowly dissipate as my drugs start to kick in. Usually ending around 3pmish. Symptoms include hypertension, intrusive thoughts, crying spells, tremors or shaking. Then after 6 it really winds down. Between 9-1am I am a regular person. I go to sleep. Wake up once a night to go pee and feel regular. Wake up at 9:30 and hell all over again. Been like that for a year. Any thoughts?

Could it be the biochemical cycle of your meds? (If you take any?). Or could it be related to the somatic side if your trauma? With most PTSD there is definitely a shift in neural pathways. This could also alter your endocrine system which is the place where hormones are released. This could alter your mood too. Have a chat to your Dr hun, if it's possible. These examples are only hypotheses. :)

You wake up to the same night mare Everytime. You take your meds, and they kick in. It numbs it, for the time being. That's how it is for me, at least.

Echoing what Justmehere said, could your trauma have occurred at that time of day? Mine happened at night, and that's when my symptoms are bad.

Meds camouflage the symptoms, they don't heal the wounds so symptoms will slip out anytime med strength goes low.

As long as you work on releasing trauma energy, then as time goes by symptoms should lessen in intensity. The drugs can get in the way, but sometimes they are necessary to function. Between a rock and a hard place.
