New Here
I'm here because my hubby has PTSD and I was hoping to make some friends with people who know what I'm going through. Ptsd has affected more than just my hubby. Our 8 yr old son has his own anger issues, some of which are due to hubby's problems. The 3 yr and 21 month old girls can tell something isn't right either.

Personally, the stress has caused medical issues for me. My Doc thinks that hubby's PTDS was the trigger for my fibromyalgia and all the wonderful things that have developed with it. Also today they found a small problem with my back.

Of course, he blames himself for everything, the kids, my medical problems, his PTSD, and I haven't been able to find the words to tell him that this isn't his fault, he didn't cause the explosion at his workplace.

Hubby is one of those that doesn't like to admit he has a problem. I guess you could call him stubborn. He has to really think things through, and since he didn't want to think about it, it took him almost 2 years to seek help.

I think I have handled most of this pretty well. But it has been one of the most diffucult times we've ever been through, but I know we will get though it, but it always helps when you have a support system, which I don't have really anymore. Between hubby's ptsd and my fibro, I don't go out much and most of the people I was friends with, I don't see or talk to anymore.

Well, thanks for listening to me babble on. My thoughts tonight aren't transfering to the written word well. Sorry about that.

Hi there

The piece where you said hubby blames himself for your medical problems and all the rest caught my eye.

It seems as if a lot of sufferers do this i know my DH does and then he gets in a stress because he cant help.

But they do help by just being there and taking the help for themselves when needed.

Like Skye said there are some amazing people on here who are only to willing to help.

Stay strong and babble all you want we all do it.
