Hi everyone.
I've been lurking here for a little while as my husband's combat induced PTSD symptoms worsen. We met and married after he had gone to war, come home injured and been diagnosed. I had no idea he had PTSD at first.
To add complications (as if we ever need that) we are both long haul truck drivers - working in separate trucks. Its been a very rough road as of late, and I forsee myself in the carer forums a good deal. I am on the verge of being able to not handle this - but this seems to have convinced my husband he does finally need help.
I am writing this post from his new therapist's waiting room. (Please forgive typos, I am on a mobile phone!) I am very grateful for this community already, as some of the stories here help shed some light on the private hell we've both been in.
