So yesterday after I got stung by a wasp my arm from my wrist to my elbow swelled up, went a vivid red colour, spiraled around and I was in immense pain. So I rang Qld Health and the Nurse said I had to see a Doctor. I am not going into a medical centre or a hospital they don't need folks coming into comment with me. I waited for 40 minutes to get a home doctor and applied online only to be told that the doctors wouldn't take anymore patients. My arm is swelling and I rang and couldn't get through for four services but luckily I found a tele conferencing doctor which I had to pay for, but you know not spreading Covid19 is important, or if it's a cold still not needed to be spread around. I got no sick leave for being off one of the Qld Health folks was so misinformed saying everyone was being contact tracing well a friend popped up on Twitter earlier the day before, no thermometer testing, no social distancing and no information arriving in Sydney. At one point someone else had received a flyer and then there's the Ruby Princess Cruise ship which my friend's family were all on, so they are in lockdown. But what an misinformed so and so. I almost said read the World Health Organisation or hey perhaps watch the news, but I didn't. I am doing the right thing. I haven't been out since Feb, you know my contribution to flattening the curve, but I got the steroids. I took two phenergan straight away, and whilst I waited on hold for a couple of hours I took one more - three's the maximum for the day. If I hadn't taken those immediately it would have been a hospital visit. My arm went bright red and throbbed and the rash just kept on spreading. The nurse said I need a management plan - that's for sure. So my arm is still red and swollen. Doing the right thing was time consuming, expensive and at one point I said to B if I go to hospital I will lived down the other end of the house away from you. So I was going to go to the medical centre but then no so a at home doctor's visit and no one is put at risk. Medical professionals in Australia don't have as good PPE as the cleaners in Singapore schools. They are all alarmed but just keep turning up. Apparently 1 in 10 sick from Covid19 are medical professionals in Italy. So that derailed the day a bit. I am really tired. I need a break.
