Poll Would You Attend A PTSD Gathering

We would like to organize a gathering of Carers & Sufferers from this forum and are gathering information about timing (best time of year to go) and accommodation etc from those in the know.

In the meantime I would like to gather some information.

If you do not wish to go to the Bahamas would you kindly list your preferred location below so we can narrow down preferences and establish a new poll for location if required.

I think it's important to fly into an International Airport - that would save time and money for everyone since most could get a direct flight that way. Florida is ok with me. I would also consider California or Texas or New York. What about New Orleans? That city could use some tourism - it's still trying to recover from Katrina and has lots of interesting things to do. (Just a thought).

St Thomas/St John's, U.S Virgin Islands would be my choice....

I said in 1-2 years, as I need lots of time to save money. I also chose both the Bahamas and another destination. I think the Bahamas sounds lovely; if people want to stick closer to mainland US, I think Florida is a good bet.

I would definitely be interested. Chose 12-24 months as I have a lot of changes going on in the next 6-12 months and would need time to adjust to that and plan/save $ for a trip. The Bahamas would be okay with me but I'm also open to other places. St. Thomas was a great suggestion. For those suggesting Florida...well, that would be a very easy one for me. Maybe I should go and read the other thread about the Bahamas and see what is being said over there.
