The first time I called I got this woman who immediately took a liking to my father and was really friendly with him. It was the worst. I thought she was supposed to be on my side. The second time I got this guy who didn't take any shit from my dad, which was really nice. I mean, he still wasn't able to help me but at least he wasn't an idiot.

Why has America decided not to take care of its children? I mean, shouldn't this be more important than oil subsidies and tax breaks for the rich? I don't mean to get all political, but it just seems as though other countries care way more about its children.

There are so many "idiots" out there; many of them are plain naive and in denial themselves. They think (and partly said that) that things adults can and do do to children only happen in movies and they interpret things as "just trying to be nice"; they just can't wrap there hands around it it seems, and sometimes I wonder, why it is that they have to be in such great denial themselves...

I love it! How I wish there was an ad like this for me to see when I was a child...

My country is only now starting to care a bit about its children and women. This is a society where women and child abuse are not talked about because it causes embarrassment, and many abusers go free even if reported.

Ads like this one would change society.

Only just seen this thread. Wow. Gosh, that's powerful and I really do hope that the children affected benefit from it. It's true that sometimes only the kid knows/sees what's going on. Too true for me anyway.
