Ok- some of these may be just me, but here goes...
You may have PTSD:
-when you "wake up" three blocks from your house, don't recognize any landmarks, panic, and then drive back and forth a few times until things start to look familiar again before heading for the grocery that is less than a mile from your home of two years.
- when you lose track of conversations because you've seriously been sitting there thinking about ways to take out (as in disable- not date) the person who is talking to you.
- when the only "person" you feel comfortable touching is your dog.
- when you have to hide your eyes or flee the room during Disney movies because they're too intense.
- when you keep pillows, blankets, snacks and stuffed animals in your closet for comfort times.
- when you feel like the world is going to seriously f#$%ing end because you can't find something.
- when you always sit with your back to the wall wherever you are.
- when you comfort yourself by trying to imagine all the ways a given situation could go wrong.
- when you always have an exit strategy for family gatherings.
- when you're constantly watching other people's eyes to gauge whether what you just said was socially acceptable or not.
- when you feel more comfortable sleeping under the bed.
- when you contemplate moving because you've alienated everyone in your current town and you need a fresh start.
- when placed in a room full of new people and forced to mingle, you unerringly gravitate to the only other person in the room who was molested when they were four.
- when normal people bore you.
- when you wonder if you're invisible.
- when you wish you were invisible.
- when people sincerely compliment you and you argue with them.
- when you think a Secret Santa swap is a diabolical plot to invade your privacy and personal space.
- when you've made chat at a party by describing how use common household items as lethal weapons or described intense medical procedures while eating and then wondered why everyone else looked uncomfortable.
- when you spend a lot of time wondering what you just did to make people look so uncomfortable.
- if you've ever decided to give up talking because of the above.
- if you've ever given serious thought to the question of whether you're human or not.
