You know your PTSD is getting worse when you have to get one of those "old lady " days of the week medication dispenser things because your mind has turned into complete and total sludge *sigh*

and you've resorted to asking your 7 y/o "did you see me take my meds. this moring?" because no matter how hard you try to remember all you come up with is fog......more and more fog. Excessive amounts of fog.

You meet an old acquaintance. They're annoyed by your edginess and your "paranoia". They tell you to stop reliving the past.

At that point, you have to politely leave the conversation.

You carefully monitor your own Facebook statuses because it's the only social outlet you have and you don't want anyone to know you have 'it'.

1. Your keys have been outfitted with a key finder to alert you of their location after being lost 3 times in one day.
2. Your dog is your best friend.
3. You are considered a social outcast to your family and closest pseudo friends. They can’t “get you” and speak to you like you are ten.

You listen to all the angry angsty music of your youth and understand the lyrics WAY too personally.

You hear a bird chirping and it is dark outside. Your thought is, sad little bird....doesn't k ow it is night time.

I once had a mockingbird that thought 1am was the right time of night to sing his melony... once is the big woord there, couldnt get that stupid bird to shut the $%&* up; even shot at it, so I moved!

I turn the bottle on its lid to let me know I did... problem is for me days blend, and cat plays with whatever interests him at the moment doesnt matter if its the pill bottle or the cup of pop on the table.

You know you have PTSD when:

-You can remember a date way back when but the year is erased!
-You can remember it was raining, sun shinning, snowing, hot temp, but for the life of ya cant remember your own age then.
-You swear to God you didn't hear someone tell you to do something then you find out from witnesses there they said it even though you still swear you didn't hear it, even when said witnesses say you said yes.
-You have to remind poeple your memory is short! (Been told by many I have selective hearing!)
-You listen to music that know body has heard of.
-You have a nightmare then begin to speak the language of that land you was having the nightmare in, then get told by the person that watched you go through the nightmare ask you what this means and plays you a recording of you in your sleep that brings back tons of HEAVY SHINNOLLA!
-You get treated like a slave by your employer, and thought as stupid by them when you bring up that they forgot your pay raise 3 months in a row.. They didnt forget they just don't care!
-You REALIZE they dont care when your sewer is backed up all weekend and the on call service man wont come because your the other on call man! (My week end off so I get to fix it monday!!)
-You know its time to get away for the longer you sit and looked at sewer water coming into bathtub the more you wish you had gun to go shot someone!
