(I haven't read this looong thread so please forgive if this is a repeat!)

You know you have PTSD when you absolutely DREAD anniversaries. Please, calendar, go away!

When you think when you die you want it to be plane crash or something, because you know you will Seriously Disassociate before, and feel safe - not be afraid. Just let it be quick, and something I have no control over is my death wish to this day. I will just Disassociate, and die peacefully.

But then again as a young teenager I told my mom never to leave me hooked-up to machines to keep me alive (even though I was healthy kid.) I told her when nurse leaves room I want you to pull the plugs to machines (you can imagine the shock on a mom's face.)

Seriously what kinda 11 or 12 year old tells a parent this when they are very healthy.

My other death wish I told her was if was old I wanted nurse to take me in wheelchair to top of a volcano, and push me in. Yes I was odd child, but didn't realize how much I had been through in life.

When you prefer to not think of plane crashes because that's one of areas you seriously can't help people at. Limitations meet too-many-people brick wall. Let's go back to something more normal, like panic reactions of crowds at shooting. :banghead:

When your about to be questioned about your daughter being abused. You immediately start to cry and panic over takes you.

when you let someone walking behind you walk by to get in front of you and immediately start spreading your body to look bigger as this person passes behind your back.

When you reach out to someone and they don't respond. You immediately go into a major panic and think they hate you and that you did something wrong.

When your major goal each day is to just make dinner.

And the couple to few days a week when you can't manage that.

You know you have PTSD when you try to find the sweet spot between your want for human connection and your need to be alone.

When you can't take calls because people calling would caare ;) f*ck the hell off, no I'm not isolating, I have ten different holes in a contingency plan I needa patch first.

When you reach out to someone and they don't respond. You immediately go into a major panic and think ..

Then they message back and you still DON'T feel any better
