You Know You Have PTSD When...

You feel frustrated you're not able to get more things done, when you are being unemployed and have time: since you don't "work" and you end up feeling pretty useless. Only to get told by your therapist that losing your mother, grieving, taking care of daughter (who have lost weight and slept too little due to mental stress after being bullied and dealing with other stuff), dealing with your dysfunctional family for the first time in 18 years all while being in intense trauma therapy means you are working very hard= and that it's normal to get tired in those circumstances. 🙄 🤦‍♀️

You know you have PTSD when your view of what having a hard time is, is pretty messed up: when not being in an active war, or in a violent relationship, or being physically abused or starving means you think life is "easy" (or should be easy).

When you feel other people really complain over such frustratingly banal things: like dealing with a divorce, or one illness, or having a bad boss.

When you feel pretty irritated and struggle hard to not say something harsh and unkind to (or even scream at) someone who complains because their bus was a bit late this morning, it rained on them on their way to work, or because they didn't get the birthday present they wished for or something similar insignificant. 🙈😁
