You Know You Have PTSD When...

... when your best friend tells you that she did not win in court concerning her Di$ability insurance and then falls out of touch with you, also failing to show up at your house for a visit that was planned before the above loss and you wonder if she has committed suicide, because she is PTSD and suffers from depression. You fear for the worst, but pray for the best, until you realize you don't even know what to pray for, for her! (And you have no way to reach her, as she has no phone) and lives too far away for you to get to her).

When you find yourself being upset by someone giving you no notice about something you usually do with them every week, but they don't want to do it this week. Like, couldn't they have given you a little bit of notice, like even an hour or so, so you could make other plans?

I do a lot of things I don't later recall having done. Someone will tell me I said or did something and I don't recall having done or said it at all. I will get this strange feeling about it too, just kind of a feeling like I am going out of my mind or am crazy or something. It is a feeling like I am wondering what I was when I did or said that!

Also, I tell friends when someone talks nasty stuff about them behind their back. Later, if that someone denies it, I start feeling doubtful about my memory, like did I really experience that or hear it or see it, yet I know I did, but still I doubt myself, and it feels like I don't exist or something. I cannot exactly explain that feeling. It is just really weird.
