Oh my! Dear @Nicolette, I'm so sorry this happened to you. Are you at the hospital now? I'll light some candles for you (think only one might not be enough right now.) Sending healing vibes and comforting hugs (if you want them) your way. ((((Nicolette))))

Thanks @SweetLullaby - I'm home on crutches and in pain as my foot is still swelling. I have a boot on so at least I can take it off and lie on the couch, take it off and have no pressure on the fractured area. It's interesting how much the area swells as I can no longer see my ankle and my foot is progressively becoming more and more swollen.

Dear @Nicolette, may I ask you; Did you broke some bones in your foot or is it your ankle?... Didn't they put a cast on the broken area? I'm not curios, but I neither comprehend the kind of fracture, nor the treatment you got...

Hope you could sleep a bit. Sending soothing vibes your way.

I fractured a bone in my foot in two places - it is known as a Jones fracture.

If it a had been a couple of centimetres more along the bone I would have had to have plaster but instead I have a boot.

Oh, @Nicolette, I am so sorry that this happened to you! I hope you're taking things easy, crutches can be such a pain.

I remember my orthopedic doctor giving me a temporary sign to put in my car so I could park in the handicap parking places. I also would use those motorized chairs at certain stores.

I remember showing my boss my foot and her comment with seeing how black and blue, etc. it was, that I was "ready for Christmas" because it was so colorful! I gave my notice right after Christmas! Oh, and I worked at rehab place at a hospital, of all places!

Wow @Let It Be what an interesting boss!!!

Today I just got my first test result for why I end up looking 6 months pregnant after food and I have fructose malabsorption and IBS. Still 2 lots of tests to undergo plus exploratory surgery.

Glad I'm not a horse right now.

@Nicolette ~ As I was sitting in the ER after hearing the news about my foot and waiting to see if it would require surgery, I realized that I needed to make some changes. I took it as my body trying to get my attention, and it did. I was the person who never took a sick day, etc.

Now, it is your turn to listen to your body, as it is trying to tell you something. Here's to doing what is necessary to have a healthy body, soul and spirit in the New Year!

Am really sorry to hear about this fructose malabsorption problem and then also to face having exploratory surgery. ((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))))))))

Happy New Year @Nicolette! I read that you're online at the moment. So, how are you now? Are you still in pain? Could the two of you manage to take the night of New Years Eve a bit easy?

Sending my best wishes your way!

Hi @SweetLullaby. Sorry I missed you. I had left the computer on and I was logged in while out at dinner.

Happy New Year to you. I have been resting due to my foot thank you. I hope you had an enjoyable New Year :)
