Oh ha. So we all do this. It's hard to not lie either but easy to default. I either lie, or ok! or good! is good or speechless. Or change the subject.

Haha! @Panda Bear. Using "fine" is like breathing air for me... I swear it would be harder to stop using that word then it was to quit smoking 12 years ago!! Lol. Good for you! I may try and curb my use of it. I have become far too dependent on that word.

It took a while to curb the use! But I'm so glad I was able to learn how to express things better. Really, I'm glad T worked hard on being firm and teaching me a new way. It helped my relationships and marriage.

Sometimes I throw it out in therapy just to be a pain in the ass. Gets T all snippy and stuff, it can be a fun game. It's all in fun, and I usually get back to my normal self.

My T is super good at reading my body language, like the second I start touching my hair, she knows I'm super anxious. She senses when I'm breathing heavily. She just knows me so well, that she can stop me and say "maybe you need to take a break."

I can't fool my therapist either, and I'm not sure it is very far from trying to fool some close family members. I may answer the question about how I'm doing with something like, "Hey I Ok!" even with a grin. But after a pause, she can change her tone to one that cuts through my bullshit and asked something like "Fine. So how are you really doing?"
