Thats an awful load of crap to have happen

Indeed it is. Hence the...I think I may have PTSD thing. I am very lucky to have a few supportive people around me, but they don't really get what I've seen and done.

Someone who doesn't have ptsd will never fully understand what it is we go through, but we can try, to at least let them know, for support. I have been trying to fully explain to my s/o for years, the ptsd cup explanation on here helped a lot.

It is really great that you have some supporters to help you when you need it.
I am so sorry for your loss, I can feel your pain. There is a trauma diaries section, if you chose, to maybe help you write out what you want, some find it very healing. *gentle hugs if you accept*

Wow do I love the cup. I've written quite a bit since February. It might be a healthy thing to do so here, though. I must say...I feel safe here. And that is something I have missed feeling. I will always accept hugs, too! :)

good, because I am big on hugs, and think sometimes, even if you think you don't need one, you would be surprised at how nice it is :)
I am glad you feel comfortable here, just remember that it is a mental health site, and sometimes we can't filter that through our typing, so sometimes you have to take some things with a grain of salt. I know I said it before, but it's worth repeating, I am glad you found us :) x

Welcome! You're fortunate to have the supports of friends in your presence. I agree in that there are a lot of therapy services available for individuals who can't afford private pay. There are also resources to accommodate irregular work hours. Sometimes medical physicians don't have adequate training in trauma or psychiatric medications and it can be good to get a mental health evaluation so medical and mental health can coordinate and work together. In the mean time, I hope you find the support you're needing - this is a great community.

Thank you for posting the link on the stress cup. I've seen it mentioned several times throughout the forum, though it was helpful seeing it as a visual. :)
