Is there a specific reason that you need to crate the dog while you are at work??
Have you got a treadmill?
He looks like a cream puff as far as attitude goes.
You cannot have a dog. It is absolutely 100% animal cruelty to put a dog that size in a crate for that long. If you have to work those hours and cannot be responsible for your dog you cannot have that dog. It is completely obvious that that is a high-energy breed of dog. You cannot put him in that crate that long that often. He will end up injuring himself in the crate. I find it doubtful you like being locked in a closet that long. I bet it drove you insane. It did me. Your dog will too. He will get bored, he will get tired, he will get cramped, he will be in pain, he will go insane, he won't be able to stay still, he'll end up hurting himself on the crate, if he can't get out he will start chewing his own self. He will defecate in there, he will piss in there, he will be laying in his own excrement, he will eat his own excrement. It is not healthy or safe for your dog to be in that crate for that amount of hours. You need to take into consideration that if you work these hours and have no one to check on your dog or dog sit for you that you need to re-home your dog. I am completely serious. Do not ever post this on the internet again and expect everyone to turn a blind eye to exactly what you said. You have expressed repeatedly you feel this is okay for the dog or you have no other option. Someone experienced in animalcare is telling you it absolutely is not. If you cannot come up with an alternative solution you are committing animal cruelty whether you feel it is cruel or not. If you want to turn a blind eye to this message then you are not Healthy enough to have that dog if you are going to treat him that way after reading this. You may want someone to tell you it is okay. Absolutely no one should. He cannot be in that crate that long.None are open after 7pm. I work until 11pm.
