T asked me to watch this Netflix original so we could discuss it in session. I'm at a loss going into episode 4 on why she'd want me to watch.

OMG that's so funny!! I am watching it right now (espisode 7) and look down to see "OA".

It's a bit corney and I agree, a bit odd for a therapist to aak you to watch it but "OA" (Prairie) has an FBI therapist, the movements are about emotions (or where I am at the moment) and feeling it, and she went through trauma (being kidnapped and locked up) and healing after. So there are a few real life things in a rather corney si-fi.

Why not ask your therapist why she wanted tou to watch it?

ETA: Oh and I LOVE that "Herseral" from The Walking Dead is on it. I miss that character!

No idea what that show is? And long time HI crow feather! It's got to be better than my husband wanting to watch either walking dead or american horror story every night it seems. They are so well made, I appreciate the story line, make up, photography, but holy HELL it's like hey you wanna watch a PTSD trigger?

Its like this "its a matter of will and determination and emotion and realing feeling it" thing. It is rather corney but now im f*cking intresting in it.

There are bits of real life reality true life not mumbo jumbo all in it, here and there. Mostly its just corney but yeah, bits of real stuff.

Like she says that the future is black, dark. Not bad dark but just that you can't see it yet and each day you shine a light inside of that darkness.

Her therapist said, about her perminition dreams that, because she was trying to figure it out, to just let it be. Let what comes come and accept it. Or some shot like. Something about her sub conscience so yeah, it has some ok-ish parts. Most just out there corney though. So far.

Theres also some true trauma survivor stuff in it as she really was traumatized.

after binging all the seasons of TWD.

Oh god! I am super addicted. I have to admit (which is, or was since a few weeks ago, live and not on Netflix yet) that when Negen came into the picture and what he did the first time they met him...thay was WAYYY too much. I didn't want to watch after that but did as I was addicted and it does get better. Not as gory. But gory doesnt affect me. Its like I am immune to gory. The first Negen meeting with "Lucille" the barbwire wrapped bat, that was a bit much. Most especially Glen!!! :(

But yeah, now and TWD and I are all good lol.

I'm actually thinking it's the spiritual side T will want to discuss. I'll finish up season 1 tonight. I've had a nde about ten years ago and was angry for a few years after that I couldn't stay wherever I went. But the experience was so pivotal in my healing. I'm very curious about the conversation coming Monday.

I watched the whole thing. I loved the choreography of the movements and the music on the last episode. For me it was not about the script, but about the underlining message of other angels. I found it very spiritual and very metaphoric for some of us that have an mental health concern, near-death experiences and then share an heightened awareness which is not always accepted in T circles.

Whether or not she was daff, for me was beside the point. She was somehow connected through premonitions (despite her filter). And in the end, her work with the others actually did prevent the school children massacre. Hence nobility of purpose is not tainted by who she was or was not.
