Just Sent This To My Therapist. Count Down To Downhill

I'm a nervous wreck and can't believe I'm doing this. I dont remember much in the way of details because its just gone. My ex husband was sexually abusive on a routine basis. I cant believe i just wrote that.
Immediately after I left I had to deal with my kid's issues especially ( my oldest). (my youngest) about a year later started wetting his pants

It went on and on.I didn't even have time to care about myself.
I can't do this anymore

You say you didn't have time to take care of yourself - then, can you do it now?

Is there anything you can think of that'd be soothing? Or hurt slightly less, if not soothing.

@Zoogal It sucks when you finally reveal, or reveal more, but the old saying, "better out, than in" still applies. It gets easier, and eventually you will get to the point that spewing the shit, is like a relief instead of a burden. At least that's how it was for me.....

Your therapist needs to know. Just because you threw it all out at once doesn't mean you need to deal with it with your therapist all at once. Is it possible that you can go over it with your therapist piece by piece? That way you don't get as overwhelmed.

As a victim of sexual abuse I want to say thank you for getting out.

If nothing else, it's likely stirred quite a lot of emotions and reactions and if not emotions, reactions anyway, communicating it all may be difficult & communicating it in a way someone outside of your life understands it - as you mean it - even more so, so giving yourself some space and time to think things through?
