Psychology Class Trigger

I never thought I'd say this but my Psychology class is triggering me horrendously. I'm supposed to take it for my core classes to graduate but this is ridiculous. I'm already crying and getting upset at some of the responses in a discussion forum. Apparently everyone suffers from Parkinson's Disease in this one forum and ...I'm grousing. It's just when I posted about PTSD, someone had the balls to "correct" me on the proper neurotransmitter depression was under (seratonin). I told them...uh no. Mine is a glutamate issue...not so much of a seratonin issue.
I about flew off the handle and I told my teacher this class triggers me. I told her the only reason I'm in it is to get through my core classes. She told me she understood and will help me get through it as best as she can. Although I was relieved, I still can't help but want to punch some people for having a-hole attitudes about PTSD and psychology in general.

One of the reeeeeally awesome things about psych classes are the professors. The things they just "get", and moreover make fawking easy because of that? <low whistle> No fighting. No uphill battles. When they knew what was up, they did total route clearance. It was brilliant. Like, why can't all my teachers/bosses/etc. be so badass? Oh. Right. This ain't their field, ain't their lookout. LOL. Psych profs, though? It was just an all around relief to slide into my chair in the corner by the door.

I think that's fairly normal. It's a wee bit close to home for us PTSD'ers....especially if you're class is full of ignorant know-it-alls, @Ladyghosthunter
I'm personally tossing up whether or not to volunteer a Powerpoint presentation on PTSD and explain how it really is.:bored: Still weighing the pro's & con's of that one.... what do you reckon?

At the end of today's psych lecture, the educator told us to crank up some music and dance the last 15 minutes! She didn't want anyone to leave feeling rattled. (i rattled my way out the door asap:hilarious:)

I think when someone steps in with corrections that can be a slippery slope. If someone that does not suffer from PTSD steps in and attempts to lecture me what or what not this disease is I will jump in their shit, no doubt.
What kind of a hole would actually approach someone with a particular disease and then attempt to lecture them on certain aspects of it, without ever having had that disease in the first place?
