Hi @Lauren Taylor - I have merged some of your threads together that are dealing with the same theme.

It is easier for other members to get a clearer picture of what's going on for you with regards to a specific situation or difficulty you're having if you can try and keep it contained within one thread, rather than scattered over several.

It may also help you keep track of your thoughts and feelings and other people's responses about a particular theme or situation.

I remember my father pushing a woman down on the bed when I was young. I never once heard him say "I love you". If you make his business look good he likes you but behind closed doors he truly hates you and your skin color if you are a different race. He looks you in your face while still doing dirty deeds behind your back. he doesn't feel anything.

Hi Lauren, I only saw your post now and hope you are okey. A quote from Martin Luther King - “Only in the darkness can you see the stars.” and this one is good too - “You cannot swim for new horizons until you have courage to lose sight of the shore.” William Faulklen I find that reading daily inspirational sayings from wise people helps me get through some difficult moments. Sometimes I can even think let alone read anything. I get some rest and do some breathing exercises so I can think again. Never give up hope Lauren. Try break away from your fathers control because once you smell the moment of freedom you will find hope.
