I think there are solutions for that. There are many people who love dogs, and would love to have one but can't own one because their landlords refuse it - I'm in that situation... Being a student with only day of lecture, I've got plenty of time. I am sure there are many people like me.

Such people are ready to volunteer to do dog walking activities, and take care of the pet during day-time. It's the case of many retirees, for instance. I am sure there can be a solution for that.

Maybe you could contact Dog Trust (or another trustworthy charity)? That is a great charity, and I'm pretty sure they will help, if you phone them - or go to a centre - and explain you are looking for someone you can trust to watch your dog during day-time. Maybe they will put you in relationship with one of their volunteers who has plenty of free time to spend. Just remember options exist when you feel ready to make a move.
