DID Does anyone have an other that resembles their abuser?

One of my others is mean to me and hates my T. He is taking on more and more characteristics of one of my abusers. He uses the same verbal abuse tactics. Does anyone else have an other like this?

Yesandourg encourages that everyonetry to work together including with him so that there is less of a battle going on. It seems to take a long time for this part to decide even a little that t can be trusted, which is mostly what the t feels is the biggest issue. As that this part for us doesn't want the t to know things and that he is meddling.

Try making friends, or just modelling friendly talk. It's not easy because that part seems to be antagonistic. Sometimes I let them know rules they need to follow to gain our respect and ignore the rest of the not so nice banter.

sure do. my other is my mother who abused me. its like shes apart of me and I was so young when it all happened I absorbed her personality

I have a handful. Some based on mother, some on father, some a combination. Mine aren't mean to others, just to me and others inside. They are what get in the way of making progress in therapy. Have done a lot of work with them in therapy thanks to my therapist, but it is a slow slog. They are "protector" parts--there to ensure I don't get too far into the past or too close to the vulnerable parts that were harmed.
