What Makes You Angry Today?

Dodgy f*cker. Can't you and your Mrs keep hold of the child? In the UK, if you flagged fowl play and had concerns, you can involve the authorities. Or knock him out?

Sensible Vs Impulse

From what you have said, I'd have concerns for my first born, if she was to face a similar situation with her mum my eX.

I'd keep hold of her. Social services would understand if you have concerns, the guy shouldn't have parental responsibility if he's a complete prick.

I feel sorry for the child. She doesn't know what's going on but is caught up in it all. He, obviously, doesn't care about anything but himself. Guess he forgot the first rule of parenting; the child comes first.

He need a blanket party, hope they haven't gone out of style.

I made her put all the basic child needs put there and paid him a home visit. It's the typical "I'm in my 20s and like to party" environment. A dirty house with clutter everywhere isn't exactly safe for a 9 month old. There's cords laying in the middle of the floor that's a trip hazard and potentially a danger for choking. His excuse for it... "She likes to play with them." And went confronted with those possible dangers he said "that's how she learns."

The guy is a f*cking retard. She isn't going over there anymore and the girlfriend is starting the paperwork for full custody. She was hoping she wouldn't have to do it this way but it seems like its best.

It's sad that so many things in life seem to wind up like this. It's for sure that you have more concern for your girlfriends child than the father does.

One word of caution though. This isn't your child and although you have a great concern for her you can be viewed by the courts as interfering with the separation/divorce and custody of the child. Just saying this because I've known of several people in similar circumstances that had problems in regard to that. Hate to say it but you need to keep a diary or at least keep track of what's going on if you need to testify in court. Ignorance of the laws is no excuse according to the legal system. Just saying brother. It's just sad all around.

Social services should naturally side with the mother, especially as it's her raising concerns about the care of the child in his care.

He sounds like a c**t. Excuse my British.

It's not exactly over for him as a Dad, but he'll only ever get to be a part time Dad; once he has squared his life away. He'll do it when he realises what he's lost.

Shared custody is generous for most part time Dad's, once a fortnight is acceptable normally in Law. He'll now have to jump through some hoops; unsafe carer.

You did the right thing mate, might wake the guy up.

I've made sure not to get overly involved in the matter. I have a degree in criminal justice and a father who has a thirty year career in law enforcement.

I've been sure to keep notes and also having her document everything she is told and encounters.
