It's actually not a dog but a wolverine. Just makin' a joke. But ya' you wouldn't fight for a nice spot on the couch either.

I'll be damned. Never seen a close up of a wolverine head before. Never realized how canine they look.

Edited to add...I think the hardest thing for me about getting old is there won't be any more little guys like this in my life.

Never too old. I am still searching for just the right pup to fill the huge, cold, painful hole Po-dog left behind.

Hate to say that 'hole' is never filled. My terrier Spunky was my friend for 18 years. It's been almost 5 years next month that he's been gone. Still miss him like crazy. If you get it right, I think it's supposed to be that way.

I'm basically holding my breath as my 17 yo Doxie is starting to have real bad days. On death watch, again. Once he goes, I've got some "bucket list" stuff to do and if I do get another dog, it'll be a Doxie rescue dog. Mature dog. There's some rescue places down in Phoenix and I go to their website and see the dogs needing adoption.

My logic is this:

Po was a rescue. The only thing he liked better than me was other pugs and rides in the car. As he was a rescue puppy they trained to take care of my sorry ass, the only logical thing to do is to rescue another. This time however it will be "Teach a dog to be a dog." type training- as a pet. I have been offered another service dog, but I turned it down. Time for me to learn to walk on my own...picking up poop and giving belly rubs as I go.


But enough melancholia, hijack complete, back to laughs!
