Angle, sorry for the shit that happened. I was there on the ground, probably not to far from where that happened. I lost my first cousin ( 7th Cav, I think) to friendly fire during the Gulf. Apache's fired them up with Hell fires and cannon. f*cked up shit, but it happens. I'm still angry about it also. We expect to kill the enemy or be killed by the enemy, not by our own. Even though, in combat, we have our shit wired tight, we have no idea about the other units. There is no excuse for friendly fire. It just happens sometimes. Again Brother, as a Yank, I want to apologise for the Yank arsehole who didn't have his IFF turned on. Peace.

Bad SHIT does happen in combat. We were flying to a mission, 6 Gun Ships and 6 Slicks. We were a around 3500 to 4000 feet and were cleared to fly through an Artty zone at a certain time. We entered right on time, we get half way through and I look out my right door to see a f*cking VW go flying by, WTF? I tell the pilot and by now we all are seeing VW's a lot of them, some were damn close. The VW's were 8" artty rounds, some dumb shit started a fire mission before we got clear.....:poop::poop::poop: Pilots dropped to 500' above the grown and got on the radio. Hell we didn't even get a Sorry. We were just lucky that day....no one got shot down or hit. Just another day in Paradise!!!! f*ck Me!!!!
