After All This Suffering I Have Decided To Get My Midlife Crisis Out Of The Way....now

I am just jealous mate, maybe I need to do something like that.
Do it!
Nothing says "beneficial therapy" like some filthy, greasy busted knuckles, some creative swearing, and a general sense of satisfaction at the end of a long day wrenching on a car you love. As is, I took it to a shine and show, locally. I spent most of the time letting chicks get their picture taken in or on it and chatting with the Mopar crew. Even muscle car douche canoes love the VWs. Hell, how many of us here were conceived in one?

A side note, I highly recommend Classic Volkswagens as a therapy project. They are pretty cheap to get, really easy to work on, and the parts are significantly cheaper than say a Small Block Chevy, Project car. Also, chicks dig the Bug, Ghia and Microbus. And, like any classic or antique, the work is never really done, so you always have something to channel sleeplessness and nervous energy into that actually gives you a product back you can be proud of.

Well, here's my "beneficial therapy". Had I not run out of catalyst

for the clear, I could have completed the job. But I'm done this year. Next spring, I'll rough it up a little and shoot a couple more coats of clear over it. I know my Brit friends will balk at the "dayglow" blue coves, but hey, needed a little spice. Lotz of work, but like you said great therapy.

SHe's a beaut! I must admit I have no clue what she is, but she's a beaut! (My gut says MGB, but it also says that aint right...)

1963 Austin Healey 3000 Mark II. Most the big stuff is done. Got a cluster gear that will need replacement down the road and the top's pretty ratty. But now the cancer is out, it's basically pretty straight. Must say the new two-part paint systems are above my paygrade but I managed to get her halfway shiny.

Tons of fun to drive.

I am drooling on my keyboard...for once not due to my lack of teeth or medications...

Nice Bug. My friend had one in High School. He spent every dime he earned on that car, but damn was it fast. He was smoking the doors off mustangs and camaros every weekend. Not to mention it pulled the ladies in like moths to a flame.
