i agree, i am slowly coming to the realization. it is tough to separate the alcohol, from my life. i love shootin pool and cranking tunes, working on my car and truck drinking a beer. i love beer! it just has such a negative after effect that seems to last for days.. ho hum, maybe my first million dollar idea will be Happy Beer (tm)

JR, the law on it is if they forcibly place you in the hospital against your will, they can take your weapons away. But if one volunteers to commitment, they can't touch them. Also one has to be careful if they classify one as incompetent, they can take them away. One can fight the incompetent ruling but with an attorney. The VA fights hard to redefine the law and consider us psychotic. We're not psychotic, we have neurosis. To my knowledge, it's stated so in the DSM.

The feds are out to disarm everybody and fights hard to change the rules so they can. When the fed asks me questions about weapons, I respond with NOYB...None of your business. They have no legal leg to stand on asking such questions.

As a Constitutionalists, all existing state and fed "laws" are in violation of the 2nd amendment. But since we are hurtling downhill, with no brakes, right into totalitarianism it really doesn't matter all that much.

i gave up on firearms bout 5yrs ago but, i do want the option when i feel; either it is going to be a necessity and or i am comfortable again. whichever comes first..

my plan is to hang out here and work and save when i can, sell the house and hopefully by then it'll be worth something. move back to the northeast to Vermont (originally from Massachusetts) score some land, maybe build something and call that home for a bit/the end of my traveling!

back to the grind, look busy everyone. places, places people..

Sounds like you have a good plan......I had been dealing with the Beast for 40 years and did not know I had it. After 3+ years I am doing a lot better. Some days are good, some I are not. It's just the way of the Beast.

Brother Sarg, you hit the nail right on it's head. I have wanted to post that link to VA Watch Dog since I joined this site. But my post count is still to low....I'll bet I will have to Del it from your quote to send this. lol

Just so you know, it has happen to some vets that have volunteered for inpatient PTSD. (Not commitment) I did call the head gal at Denver and asked her about this. She told me that it would not be a problem.....Me I just do not trust the VA!!!
So for me, why take the chance??? I don't need a new fight and getting an attorney! f*ck'em!!!

Just so you know, I stand with and for the Constitution! The Oath I took was for life. Not sure whats coming this new year, but the wife and I are ready......BRING IT.......
