Yeah, I made it through about 15 mins of that crap, to me. I don't know, I studied history and astronomy in college. But hey, nice story if you like such parallels. Great imagination...I could give you about 12 variations of the same shit. Once someone mentions astrology they're off by one cycle now but then the errors were compounded one upon another historically as if it had anything to do with faith. Paganism maybe. As with many things, it's about perceptions. We believe what we choose to.

I always remember a statement from a course in college about government. I'll have to paraphrase: 'when any group gets large enough to have the need to have 'leaders', or 'organizers' to act for the group a couple of things happen. The leaders will always make decisions based on the desires or needs of the greatest number of people, the group. The rights of the individual becomes secondary.' It's pretty much the same no matter what form a government takes. I think most Americans live under the perception that we always do the right thing and turn a blind eye to the 'real' things going on unless it affects them directly.

No, I was paraphrasing from a text on government, not on ours specifically. My rose colored glasses got lost when I went in the Marines. It's in the military that you really get a lesson on how gov't works. Since the time that some guy had one more 'rock' than the others it's been this way. It won't change.
