I'm really looking forward to seeing if the Army is going to bring him up on charges. I've already came to the conclusion that at best he's an AWOL'er and at worst an enemy of the US. From the start it's been said in the military community that he was a shit bag and left base on his own free will.

I honestly think he left and once he got captured that's when reality set in.

I also believe that the politics are turning a traitor into a war hero. Obama trades 5 High Level Taliban for 1 "POW" AWOL'er? That is completely f*cking UN-SAT. None of this was ran by Congress. Like like I put a lot of faith in those window lickers but legally and logically it should have been done. But give the people who think he's a hero POW what they want and make ratings go up right? The Army better! He was a deserter. I heard some town official defending the parade they already have planned for him. This guy needs no parade. His father already gave a Muslim blessing at the White House. So let him come back to his unit & start the court martial. Then he can go to Leavenworth and be left to some brothers.

I would preface what I'm going to say by saying that all news programs are just that, tv programs, shows driven by rating. OK, so I was watch the Today show and they were having an interview with a soldier that served with him. I always find it interesting how carefully both the interviewer, Savanah whatever and the soldier choose there words. You can't just accuse someone of something or else you get sued. You need a lawyer there to make sure the words you pick or what you say doesn't cross that legal line. When did we come to this????

When the facts that are presented speak for themselves why can't they just say them. We've become a country of pussies where political correctness rules the day and what we 'might' say can cause a lawsuit. Well put Jar but there is an exception for DoD, Government Agencies, The Military Services, and the chain of command with their legal & personnel minions who get away with murder, in the form of suicide, by lying about wounded warriors to avoid accommodation or cost and justify harassing them and treating them like shit until they give up seeking proper benefits or support. :poop:
