I don't want to sound any triggers but did anyone catch the firefight the cops had with that little twirp that killed 5 Marines? The sound of the firefight surprised me. Pop after pop. Nothing like a real firefight but enough to start setting me off. I kept waiting for a .30 cal to start burping and a grenade or two to blow.

I do not miss that shit. My prayers to the families....

I just posted this on another site.

United States Marines are among the best trained and most effective warriors the world has ever known. Their effectiveness under fire is incredible.

Yet, Marines with combat experience were killed by a single gunman with no training or experience. How is that possible?

Simple. Those Marines were denied the means to defend themselves. They were not allowed to carry weapons because government will not recognize the need for self defense.

We comfort ourselves with the belief that we are safe in our homes and on our streets because its easier than looking at the world as it truly is. We dedicate more security to the banks where we keep our money than we do to the schools where we send our children.

We have police officers who dedicate their lives to protecting the public. But, the most dedicated police force cannot provide individual protection to every citizen twenty-four hours a day.

So, it's just this simple. If you cannot defend yourself and family you are a sheep in a world full of wolves. You are depending on he wolves not to pick you because it they do you are nothing more that a hopeless victim.

It makes no sense that our Brothers are unarmed at recruiting centers, it's a military target for these goat rapers. Our muslim in chief(and yes I mean that as disrespectfully toward Obama as possible) and my opinion on Obama is not political it's calling a spade a spade...nothing intended racially there either. Our military, veterans, and law enforcement have been made targets by the traitors running our nation. They want us defenseless so we can't do anything about it, and so we have to rely on this 3-ring circus of a government. We veterans have to step up, all of us, and get our act together and be proactive as a unit. My family and I will not be victims.

Cats! Even if they made them carry mags in their pockets, a Marine would be spitting lead in seconds. I can understand the accidental discharge thing, but you can put in protocol steps to tag that at zero. I remember watching the Air Police when I grew up and they were tight. They used 1911s then and went through three steps or so before even entering the building.

They look naked without some sort of iron hanging off them.

Even in my national guard days, my entire squad had a side arm at drills, and not gi issue either!SMH

This is why I never travel without carrying a weapon. 90% of the time I carry. And if I can't then I don't go. Or you don't know.

However, I don't carry inside of the VA. But it's close by. And even though the sign says it's not allowed I still carry a good knife. Not that that'll work in a gun fight.
