I was just watching my dog and cracking up and thought it would be a good happy thread!

We have a long narrow back yard and one of his favorite things to do are wind sprints up and down the yard. Whenever he can he will drag me out there with him so I can sit on the back steps and watch. He goes round and round, stops to make sure I'm still watching, then goes round and round again. This will go on for about 15 minutes and it's hysterical how happy he is when he is doing it

Then he needs a nap!

My shih-tzu is a morning dog. If I try and have a sleep in, he sits by the side of the bed and cries at me till I get up and take him to the park.

It gets old. Sometimes? I reeeally just need to sleep in. But if I try and get stubborn and ignore him crying at me for too long? He jumps up on the bed and sits on my face. “Try sleeping now!”

My lab viewed it as his moral imperative to guard us whilst in awkward/vulnerable positions... No one poops alone! Seriously. We tried. It was mostly wasted effort.

As a puppy I used to soccer-mom check him every time I braked whilst driving. When he got bigger? Every time I braked he'd hook his paw out to hold onto ME. Most of the time he didn't bother pulling his leg back, just applied more pressure when I braked. So we'd be cruising in the jeep, both of us belted, with the dog holding onto my thigh.

One of my fave never-managed-a-photo of it things... He'd hop over into the drivers seat whenever I left him in the jeep, 100% of the time. About 90% of the time I'd come back to finding him also having a Starbucks cup stuck on his muzzle, and both paws on the wheel. Cracked me the hell up. But as soon as he saw me he'd unhook the cup on the steering wheel and hop back over to his seat. Yes. I DO drink a lot of coffee whilst driving. I don't actually attach it to my face, though. But come the apocalypse? He'd almost figured out this driving thing.

I don't have pets but a dear friends' cat is a veggie soup health watch.

As in she's never around when there's food... except for vegetable soups. Then she's there, begging for a portion and playing 'no, not that interested, I'm out again, human' with people's feet while we eat. Plain vegetable doesn't do it, either. Has to be souped.
