Soooo.... I start this thread because it would be off topic in another thread but still I ask myself the questionwhy online dating instead of good ol‘ OFFLINE dating is so common in the US. Where I am from just a small proportion of the population meets online but most meet offline through mutual friends or at weddings, sports events or dancing events and learn about the family of the person who is courting them before they start dating.
To me it seems an advantage because I often hear that Americans who met their spouse online make bad experiences because he or she has been lying about themselves or their family and turn to MGTOW.
So to me that seems better, but I do not want to be snobby. Maybe there is something I overlooked. I hope you do not think that this thread is offensive. BTW just curious: how did Americans meet before the times of internet?
