@Justmehere but it wasn't universal. It was a trial of 2,000 people and all trials come to an end. They planning on revamping and trying again with changes.

I’m not seeing the problem with the Great Society’s programs that did expand under the administrations of Republican Presidents Nixon and Ford. It's just like you lefties to stick your nose under the tent given half a chance. Let me stick a bee...
@somerandomguy. You can not win on the merits of your arguement, so you slander and attack the messenger. I've been poor you wack job. :hilarious: In most places of the world you would not last five minutes, you are weak. That's what sad. :whistling:Thanks, you answered my question!...
@Fionas74 If you are totally handicapped and can't take care of your basic needs, that's one thing. But I'm not for setting up a freeloader system, that for d*mn sure. Everybody pays their way. Period. :happy:There are very good projected outcomes for having the universal basic income implemented. One great ex...
@Fionas74. Nixon and Ford were asswipes. I don't like either one. The "Great Society" set up a plantation society, like the cotton plantations in the South before the Civil War. It keeps the poor (slaves) dependant (chained) on the government (plantation owner, master, Democrats) hand outs (food stamps, government housing). You are promoting the institution of slavery. :whistling:I’m not seeing the problem with the Great Society’s programs that did expand under the administrat...
@Neverthesame. That's all we need, more lawyers. :hilarious: No, but seriously, if someone wants to go to school, they can. It is all about want to, if you are a person that's wants to, you will find a way. It is easier to go to school today, if you are poor, than it has ever been. Heck, you can get Phd's on line now. I'm so tired of people making excuses why they can't do something. I have seen, over and over again, hard working people, with nothing, coming from other countries and making a very good life for themselves in the US. Get to work, and stop making excuses. ;)
@Neverthesame. You absolutely can become a doctor. You have a healthy ethic for being in medicine. Not everyone goes straight through school to an MD. I would venture to guess that most docs got there by doing it through a piecewise pathway. Step by step. Some pathways: 1) CNA-LPN-RN-NP-MD 2) Cardiotech-PA-MD 3) EMT-Paramedic-MD. There are many other routes. Once you get one of the early certifications you can get one job and get help paying for your schooling from your employer. You can do it, just break it down, and do it one step at a time. I have seen it done many times. :tup:Not at all what I said.
I said 4 jobs, not one. 4.
How many people have to work 3 or more jobs,...
@Neverthesame I see at least four qualities in you that would make you a great doc. 1) The willingness to work hard 2) Discipline 3) The ability to take instruction 4) A healthy ethic. If you can begin to direct your work toward the medical fields I think you will take off. Medicine is tough, long hours, but that is nothing new for you. You should go for it. :cool:Not at all what I said.
