I was just saying that protection looks different, is not about fluffiness, is not about what I would want...
This with totem and protection animals is often misunderstood and it takes time before learning how they work in the spiritual, meaning that you first need to have developed an understanding of the spiritual foremost. Then how the Spirit animal affects you in different periods during your lifetime,
what Spirit animal it is and what qualities it possesses that tells about its its spiritual call and challenge you in the same way.
Everybody doesn't even have a lasting Spirit animal, unless you don't have it since birth, which one figures out later in life, let it take shape in you or
serve it for a specific purpose.
When you understand that the animal in reality has a mirror image in Spirit you have come to the point where you can start exploring it, how much depends on why it's with you and what you want from it and in Spirit. Essentially, it is for guidance, protection and initiation on a spiritual path in life. They serve as a protection against everything that holds or tries to keep you from the path that leads you to spiritual knowing and closer to the essence of creation or the creator itself, depending on your believe.
This is Spirit animals, not characters one induces by wish unless there have been prayers.
There are studies about animal behavior, you do the same in Spirit, study and live according to what you learned.
That's what brings you good luck, health, protection and everything else you searched for in it.
And as said, you don't choose the totem, it will come to you when you are ready either by finding it on your own or through guidance.
Some totem even requires a master who initiates you along the way, the Jaguar is one of them. It's not a totem for beginners or people with incorrect attitude or intentions, the result could be devastating, in the worst case deadly. It possesses knowledge of both white and black magic and is not feared for no reason. Responsibility and respect are on its menu every day of the year no matter who they meet or where they go.
Great great blessing to have as a totem, but also a burden.
