Uhm ok, sorry I wasn’t doing it the “right” way. Whatever that means. I guess mine isn’t...
Don't take it wrong, we have all including myself been asking all the wrong questions before we get it right.
Sorry if the Jaguar seem clumsy and harsh, it's in its nature to honestly say as things are and allows you to face negative emotions of all kind.
It's the most honest of the totems and utterly just telling things as it is, not how you wish it were. The thought is, after all, meaningful :)

Not something I would share on here aside of people I trust to have my back, for a lot of reasons, but these nature protectors usually entered my life when I was at crossroads with life and people, life threatening danger and being oblivious to people danger. Yo, look *there* instead of here. You are following a leader offa cliff homie, that is NOT where you get out of these mountains. Helloo, I get nothing makes sense right now but would you stop and sit down, I have been here for eternity and STILL make sense. FFS, kids these days.

Alias super brakes when needed. Healing and slow down time. At times pointing to still had purposes, even when I am at all the wrong places and think I am done. And not really fluffy comforters, not the most mattering. More like a drill sergeant dragging my ass off a burning bush comforting with the gritted teeth and stern look of We will talk about this, Later., then yes.

I have had Wolves visit me in my dreams several times, including one White Wolf. I have a close affinity for wolf-like dogs in life, so this makes sense to me. The wolf totem is all about intelligence and deep instinct, freedom, and connection with others, but can often show lack of trust or feelings of being threatened. The Wolf is my Spirit Guide animal.

I'm not sure I understand you, but talk later maybe we will.

Wolves are friendly overall, but they also have quite timid characteristics what I know. I don't think I've met anyone yet who possess the wolf Spirit.
22:26 over here almost half past, getting LATE...

I'm not sure I understand you

I was just saying that protection looks different, is not about fluffiness, is not about what I would want, nor readily understood at the time / making more sense in hindsight where it was helpful, needed, and exactly what was needed (not wanted) at the time.

This with totem and protection animals is often misunderstood and it takes time before learning how they work in the spiritual, meaning that you first need to have developed an understanding of the spiritual foremost. Then how the Spirit animal affects you in different periods during your lifetime,
what Spirit animal it is and what qualities it possesses that tells about its its spiritual call and challenge you in the same way.

Everybody doesn't even have a lasting Spirit animal, unless you don't have it since birth, which one figures out later in life, let it take shape in you or
serve it for a specific purpose.

When you understand that the animal in reality has a mirror image in Spirit you have come to the point where you can start exploring it, how much depends on why it's with you and what you want from it and in Spirit. Essentially, it is for guidance, protection and initiation on a spiritual path in life. They serve as a protection against everything that holds or tries to keep you from the path that leads you to spiritual knowing and closer to the essence of creation or the creator itself, depending on your believe.

This is Spirit animals, not characters one induces by wish unless there have been prayers.

There are studies about animal behavior, you do the same in Spirit, study and live according to what you learned.
That's what brings you good luck, health, protection and everything else you searched for in it.

And as said, you don't choose the totem, it will come to you when you are ready either by finding it on your own or through guidance.
Some totem even requires a master who initiates you along the way, the Jaguar is one of them. It's not a totem for beginners or people with incorrect attitude or intentions, the result could be devastating, in the worst case deadly. It possesses knowledge of both white and black magic and is not feared for no reason. Responsibility and respect are on its menu every day of the year no matter who they meet or where they go.

Great great blessing to have as a totem, but also a burden.

Well, at first I thought it was the lioness. Upon reflection and observing, it is the raven. Mischevious, curious and goes through many transformations through out life. The first time I saw one was recently and it was a couple days before my miscarriage. I marveled at it and thought how beautiful yet haunting it looked. How big they are in person. It just really caught my attention and I couldn't look away.

Absolutely wonderful, they are indeed very charming individuals. One of the totems I would have wanted before I became aware of totems meaning. My second or actually first Spirit animal I got to know was the snake. I believe it was a result of when I at young age stopped two boys from hitting it with a stick, but I wasn't that happy when it started talking to me in Spirit. Very cute, but split tongue you know...It's still with me, but I rather not communicate with it.

I've always felt a deep connection with the wolf and the red-tailed hawk....but have been drawn to many others at key points in my life, too, such as the flutter-by, bear, deer, vulture, crow, snake, hummingbird, cardinal, and dove. I live in a forest space, so I'm surrounded by many teachers and am fortunate to cross paths with them throughout the year. I don't have the brain space/attention span currently to type details and such, but it's a topic that has endlessly fascinated and intrigued me. Thanks for the thread. :)

Can a person's spirit animal be one that just suddenly appeared one day? I ask because when things started turning around for me, I saw a beautiful red fox eating berries just out back and I keep seeing it almost daily. Yesterday we sat on opposite sides of a pond for almost five minutes watching each other. Or is it just coincidence?
